On the other hand, Gonja Malkoch Ari emphasised that it is not possible to diagnose attention deficit and hyperactivity in every child with these symptoms and said, ‘Sometimes these symptoms can be seen due to various physical disorders. Therefore, in order to diagnose hyperactivity in a child with attention deficit, the symptoms should last for at least 6 months and the child should exhibit the same behaviour not only at home and school but also in every environment he/she enters.’
